We started our Rajasthan tour from Jaipur, the pink city. Jaipur is the capital and the largest city of Rajasthan. It's called the pink city after it was painted in pink (colour of hospitality) in 1853 to welcome the Prince of Wales (Edward VII). Today the town has kept this traditional colour as a symbol of true Rajasthani hospitality.
Because it was the low season, we managed to stay in a very nice hotel at a budget price. We stayed 6 days.
